Discoloration can happen naturally over time, so it is nothing to worry about. However if it gets to the stage where you feel it is detracting from your item, there there are things you can do.
The best and simplest option is to get some leather restorer spray. You can get this in most hardware stores and larger supermarkets, and they come in a range of colours.
The larger the store or shoe store you go to the larger the range of colours. Bring a photo of the affected item to the store so you can match it against the closest colour and shade; particularly with common colours like a shade of brown or black you want to match as much as you can.
